North Penn K9 Seminar

2nd Canine: Each working spot is the same price, for those wishing to bring a second canine you will need to enter them in the same class/group. You will not be able to swap groups

Training: We will have access to multiple training locations including; ski slopes, open fields, woodlands, building searches, a 10 acre pond, a grass air strip and 27,000 acres of state game lands. Multiple potential training scenarios for beginners to advanced teams. Instructors will cater training to individual teams needs. Approx. 20 hrs of instruction. Instructor ratio is 6:1. Schedule & Agenda will be emailed as we nail down more details.

Necessities: Bring a change of warm clothes, bed linens for twin beds in bunkhouse or sleeping bags, towels, sunscreen, rain gear, helmets and eye protection. Also, food if you plan to prepare your own meals, 2 local bars/restaurants service lunch and dinner nearby and are very affordable.

Payment & Cancellations: To hold your space, there is a $50.00 non-refundable deposit included in reservation. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. The option is available to include lodging when checking out. NO REFUNDS after August 14th, 2026except in extenuating circumstances. If the event is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. After spaces fill, a waiting list will be started and those interested will be contacted if spaces become available. If we are able to fill your space from our wait list, we will return funds (less deposit).

Service & Wifi: Cell reception and wifi access is limited in the area and at local amenities.

Canines: No kennels will be provided for dogs in attendance. Please bring your own crates for containment. All handlers are responsible for their own canines needs and his/her actions and behaviors during the seminar. Dogs must be under control at all times when not working during seminar. Temperatures may swing this time of year. Be prepared for your dogs comfort in vehicles

Seminar Information

 

Food: Breakfast and lunches are included in cost and can't be broken down. A continental breakfast will be available each morning at the Ski Patrol building and a 'working' lunch will be provided. Shared kitchen access available in bunkhouse. Please let us know when registering if you need special food considerations such as food allergies or vegetarian options.

Bunkhouse: For $65, bunkhouse accommodations for 2 nights can be included in your stay. If you have additional questions about housing, please contact us. Lodging is optional at checkout!

Camping: For $30, primitive camping is available and includes all three nights on site. RVs and campers welcome. A dry lot for larger vehicle near the bunkhouse or access to the campers field.
