Jessica Burnside has been a member of the Virginia Search and Rescue community since 2006 and has been a member of DOGS-East Search and Rescue since 2008. She has had two Operational dogs, K9 Boomer (ret.) and Puck, both black Labradors. Both of her dogs have been dual certified in Wilderness Live and Human Remains Detections (HRD). Jessica has served as President, Vice President/Standards officer, Treasurer, and team Evaluator during her time as a member of DE. She is also an evaluator for the State of Virginia. In her 15 years as a canine handler, she has responded to hundreds of searches all over the Commonwealth and neighboring states. This will be her 4th year instructing at North Penn.
